Ist das Mädchen nachträglich, also als Scherenschnitt oder mit Photoshop o. ä., hinzugefügt worden oder auch gemalt?
Erinnert mich spontan an den Film "Pleasentville"

Das Mädchen ist - wie du schon vermutet hast - nachträglich mit acrylfarbe gemalt worden.
Sometimes is useless put too much details on a piece.... And a simple "waterfall" of colors give big emotions than useless and intrigue details.
Of course, color make art!
